A Pond & Summer House Dream Garden
Our project brief was to refit the existing garden including a pond and summer house within the scheme at a dormer bungalow in Great Ayton near Stokesley.
The soil quality of the existing garden was very poor so using a micro excavator and motorised track barrows the existing soil was changed. A terrace was paved in natural stone which followed the theme from the front pathways which had been previously paved.
The lawn was prepared with an antique sett mowing edge on a lower level to the main terrace. A garden pond constructed to match the lines of the terrace and with a base for a summer house. Comprehensive planting was carried out following design and discussions between the client and Wilkinsons plant designer Martin Kirby.
“We are very pleased with all aspects of the garden the design was contemporary and geometric which maximizes the space in our small garden perfectly. We are so glad we chose this design as we have managed to fit everything that was on our wish list, and Wilkinsons workmanship was excellent.” – The Atkinson’s.
