Walls, Fencing and Timberwork
Traditionally walls and fences were built to define boundaries and provide security, whilst this is still a motivation, for many home owners, boundary walls and fences are increasingly built for privacy, protection from noise and to screen unacceptable views.
You may be considering arches, trellis or pergolas. We'll show you lots of alternative designs to choose from and a range of materials from brick to pre-treated timber, from wire frame to lattice.

The choice of materials is very wide, but in general terms if your budget is limited you will tend towards fencing rather than walling. Fencing design is largely dictated by the aesthetic effect you are trying to create, as well as strength and durability. There are many alternatives, post and rail, trellis, close boarded and picket are amongst the most common. Similarly, the choice in construction materials for walls is equally attractive. Brick, concrete, block and render, stone and tile faced are some of the alternatives.
Walls and fences located on boundaries should always be treated with consideration, because of their potential impact on neighbours in terms of obstructing views and natural light. Used as internal divisions of the garden, they should be located so they give definition and subdivide functional areas, re-emphasising the differing nature of the elements of garden space. We can help you plan your boundary walls and fences, timberwork or garden buildings. From design to sourcing the materials and installation, and we'll ensure that they are entirely in keeping with the scale and layout of your garden.
