Circular Patio Terrace

Durham

Concept to completion: 6 months

Following an extensive refurbishment, the Wilkinsons Landscapes team worked exceptionally hard to transform some ugly features into an outside area that all the family could enjoy throughout the seasons.

Planning

After discussing with the client, we agreed to design a new outside space that used a circular patio terrace as the focal point. Using paving, the area utilised the position of the sun at numerous points during the day. This allowed the whole family to relax and enjoy being outside. Previously a large, unattractive wall had created a cold shade across the entire garden. We removed this along with hiding an equally ugly oil tank, covering with a timber screen to give the garden extra aesthetic appeal.

Patio area

The circular paving area proved to be a focal point (and a sun trap!)

No more oil tank

This was a must! We used timber to hide what was an ugly looking oil tank.

We used different shades to create a definitive, impressive looking walkway

"I am extremely pleased with end result of my garden, friends and family are constantly impressed. They listened carefully to my thoughts and needs throughout. I was assisted round the plant centre which I found particularly valuable. The whole team were polite, respectful and professional."
