Planning

Garden design plan

The garden remained a blank slate, we wanted the garden to be everything they wanted and more, maximising the space of the garden and offering a range of points in the garden to spy on the beautiful oriental carp in their pond whilst also allowing the feature to reflect the landscape.

We take into consideration all of your needs and the gardens challenges to accurately plan and scheduled the whole project. We visit the garden and get straight to work analysing the space, and drafting out some ideas.

Building the dream

This garden had a natural slope, large amounts of earth needed removing before the pond could be excavated where we then used wooden sleepers to retain the boundary levels.

The pond was built and large slate paved areas were added which were broken up with groups of stepping stones, surrounded with red chippings. Gravel areas were planted to soften the look and create an easy to manage  low maintenance garden. Gravel areas were planted to soften the look and create an easy to manage low maintenance garden.

Choosing the right plants

Soil planting beds with a variety of Asian style plants were bedded to create an oriental abyss such as Red Baron, Japanese Marble Trees and Fagus orientalis trees.

All plants and trees seen are available from our plant centre.

"We are extremely satisfied with the work that Peter and the Wilkinsons Landscapes team did for us. We've had many of our friends and family compliment us on our drive since the work has been completed."
