Our Commitment to Sustainability Just Got a Major Boost

We’re excited to share that we’ve recently taken a big step forward in our sustainability journey here at Wilkinsons Landscapes. We’ve invested in four brand-new VW ID Buzz electric vans to support our landscape management team—and we couldn’t be prouder of them.
Wrapped in our signature burgundy and black by the brilliant team at Sign Design GB, the vans are already turning heads. They don’t just look fantastic—they’re helping us reduce our carbon footprint and move towards a greener way of working.
Â
Why We’re Doing This
As a company that works so closely with nature, we believe we have a responsibility to protect it. For us, this investment in electric vehicles is about more than just reducing emissions—it’s about leading by example.
We know that the landscapes we create and care for are part of a much bigger picture. That’s why we’re committed to sustainable practices that protect the environment for generations to come. Our new vans are just one step in that journey.

The Challenges of Going Green
Of course, making the switch to electric and battery-powered equipment isn’t always easy. The infrastructure isn’t quite where it needs to be yet, especially for the type of work we do. But that’s not stopping us from trying.
In the meantime, we’re keeping all of our fuel-powered vehicles and machinery in top condition to make sure they run as efficiently and cleanly as possible.
Â
A Greener Way of Working
Our approach to sustainability doesn’t stop at our vehicles. Across the business, we’re always looking for ways to reduce waste and work more responsibly. That includes:
Planting to support local wildlife and biodiversity
Allowing our green spaces to blossom into meadows to support our hard working insects
Reusing and repurposing materials wherever we can
Using battery-powered tools where it’s practical to do so
We’re proud of the progress we’ve made—and we know there’s still more to do.
Â
Looking Ahead
For us, sustainability isn’t a trend—it’s a long-term commitment. We’re continuing to explore new ways we can reduce our environmental impact while still delivering the highest quality service and design.
Whether it’s rethinking how we power our tools or exploring more eco-friendly materials, we’re constantly evolving.

Let’s Build Greener Spaces Together
If you’re thinking about transforming your garden and want to do it in a way that’s kinder to the planet, we’d love to help. We’re not just designing beautiful outdoor spaces—we’re building a more sustainable future, one garden at a time.

Thanks for following along on our green journey.
